On April 22, 2020, the White House suspended all entry in to the U.S. by immigrants for 60 days starting April 23. The WH stated that “in the days between the national emergency declaration and April 11, more than 22 million Americans have filed for unemployment.”
Certain categories of immigrants (e.g. healthcare professionals, EB-5 investors, spouses/minor children of U.S. citizens, military personnel) are excluded. Also excluded are Immediate Relatives, according to a person familiar with the situation.
